Ameon approached Quadra a year ago when they attended a BIM Information Event hosted by Quadra. The organisation was keen to find out how they could bid on Government funded BIM projects and improve efficiencies in the process. The small-medium sized organisation highlighted this an area for development and something they needed to get involved with in order to stay competitive within the industry. The Solution
It was suggested by Quadra’s skilled BIM advisors that the organisation should migrate from AutoCAD to Revit to take advantage of Revit MEP’s technical capabilities.
Training was also delivered to ensure the workforce would get the most form the software and also to limit the amount of downtime experienced as the organisation transitioned to the new process.
Results
Ameon are now able to deliver robust data, enabling them to become key members of collaborative BIM project teams and win new business. Since adopting the new software the organisation has gone from strength to strength, with a new £5m value contract at Lancaster University and a similar value deal in Manchester City Centre. The organisation is looking to the future—and it’s BIM shaped!
