Eric Wright Construction approached Quadra back in 2012 when they were considering their BIM strategy and how software could improve the way they do business. Quadra weren’t the first organisation they had approached. They were keen to find an software provided that understood their specific business challenges and were able to offer localised and personalised software training for staff members.

The Solution
During the second meeting with directors and a representative from Autodesk, the decision was made to implement Navisworks and Revit, which would support the organisation’s strategy for growth. The organisation started out initially by implementing the software and then invested in training for design staff. Colin Hindley said, “After the training everyone was buzzing after the session and they set up a Autodesk 360 structure internally, which will make some great improvements moving forward.”
Once the organisation was up-to-date with the software, they began bidding on contracts that mandated BIM. The organisation has been involved in the following projects which have all required BIM compliancy
• Baron Road Primary School, Blackpool
• Albion Place, Skipton
• Blackpool Council Offices
• Avondale Health Centre, Bolton
• Nye Bevan Health Centre, Rochdale
Results
Eric Wright Construction have recently won contracts with Cumbria County Council, Merchant Taylors’ Primary School, Merseyside, Blackpool Council and a flagship office building on the Wirral.
