Autodesk Revit Family Creation for Manufacturers Training

Ring 01254 301 888 for upcoming dates

A Revit family is a graphic representation of construction industry objects and symbols. It can include geometry in 2D or 3D as well as data (Properties) that supports the definition and creation of object instances. Families are used to define the shape, form, physical and behavioural characteristics of individual elements used in a Revit project. The ability to re-use existing Revit content in a BIM process is a key factor that helps shorten building project delivery. Revit’s parametric family creation tools allow you the flexibility to create multiple families quickly and accurately.

The purpose of this course is to guide organisations who are looking to create and develop their own Revit Families (Libraries) for Customers, Construction professionals and specifiers. Once completed, Manufacturing Design professionals will be able to develop their CAD skills, making use of Revit to create family (Libraries) content. Users will understand the importance of properties and classification enabling product families to be BIM Level 2 (and beyond) compliant.
