Support for Windows 7 is ending

What is happening to Microsoft Windows 7?

Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7.

When is this due to happen?

Windows 7 is due to go end-of-life on January 14th 2020.

Will Windows 7  continue to operate as normal?

It should continue to operate normally after this date but will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. While anti-virus programs and restrictive user permissions should reduce the risk of attack, unresolved vulnerabilities will begin to accumulate after Jan 14 2020.

What does this mean for my Autodesk/ CADSTAR or eCADSTAR software?

We would strongly recommend that computers still running previous versions of Windows are upgraded to Windows 10 at the earliest convenience.
