In today’s #Techtalk Inventor CAM Tutorial Stephen Hall talks about Partial 2d Contouring.
Inventor CAM Tutorial – Partial Contour
When using features such as 2D contour, it is not always the case that the entire contour requires machining.
If this is the case, then you can select partial contour, by re-selecting the already pre-selected contour.
This will then open a mini toolbar, in which the contour can be selected, be it closed or open.
Once ‘open contour’ is selected, you simply choose the contours required and accept. Upon completion, the toolpath will now only follow the selected contours.
