Autodesk has started to take steps to align their support practices with its existing policies, as well as the evolution of the Autodesk product portfolio. In so doing they are discontinuing activations for older versions of Autodesk products.
In keeping with their Product Support Lifecycle, you will continue to receive technical support, hotfixes, and software updates for the current version of the Autodesk products you have access to through your Autodesk subscription(s) and/or maintenance plan(s), as well as the previous versions of those products that are listed on the Eligible Previous Versions list for subscriptions or maintenance plans (which, in most cases, is three versions back).

What is changing?
Autodesk is discontinuing activations of older versions as follows: Effective August 31, 2019, Autodesk will no longer activate 2010 or earlier versions of Autodesk products.
From March 2021, Autodesk will no longer activate versions that are not current and/or on the Eligible Previous Versions list for subscriptions or maintenance plans.

You may continue to use all versions of the Autodesk products you have licensed and/or have the right to use through your Autodesk subscription(s) and/or maintenance plan(s)
However, if your product is deactivated, Autodesk will no longer reactivate versions 2010 or older (after August 31, 2019) nor any versions that are not on the applicable Eligible Previous Versions list (as of March 2021).
What you need to do
Check if you are using a 2010 or older version and if so it is advisable to consider moving to a current version as soon as possible to ensure ongoing productivity. You may access current versions, as well as supported previous versions of your software, on the Products & Services page in your Autodesk Account.
