CADSTAR Takes Spotlight in Global Industry Awards

CADSTAR receives global recognition as a leading PCB design platform, winning awards that recognize the solution's ease of use, compatibility with other design/manufacturing software, and overall ability to make the job of PCB design easier and more efficient. CADSTAR Express took second place in the E&E awards contest for Design Tools and Software. Global embedded systems site, eg3.com, selected CADSTAR 10.0 as the 'Editor's Choice' for the Spring 2008 eg3 Tech Choice Award.

Ease of use and compatibility with other design/manufacturing software systems were the core reasons why E&E (Elektronik & Entwicklung) awarded CADSTAR Express, the free downloadable version of the desktop PCB design tool, second place in the Design Tools and Software category earlier in the year. Good news, for people wishing to download this tool or already using it - Zuken will soon launch an updated version with many of the new features included in CADSTAR 10.0!

Garnering further recognition in the eg3.com Spring 2008 Tech Choice Awards, CADSTAR 10.0, launched in autumn 2007, was selected as the 'editor's choice' in the FPGA & Tools category. With over 42,000 subscribers, eg3 is a global web portal for embedded systems; through their annual awards contest, they recognize recent cutting-edge products and those that offer practical design solutions. Highlights from CADSTAR 10.0 that took it into the winners' circle include improved design control for right-first-time designs, advancements in usability, a special add-on module for integration of FPGAs onboard, plus the launch of E³.logic for CADSTAR - an alternative front-end solution that allows CADSTAR to integrate with Zuken's electrical software design environment, E³.series.
